INGREDIENTS:
Spaghetti or Bucatini pasta
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon butter
Black pepper
Water
Salt
Olive oil
DIRECTIONS:
Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add a large pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil to season the pasta water. Add the pasta once boiling. Cook about 8-10 mins until al dente. (more if you like a very cooked noodle). When pasta is almost done, reserve about 1/2 cup of water before draining and set to the side. Leave pasta in strainer for a minute while you make the sauce. Melt butter in the pot, add some fresh ground black pepper and toast for 30 seconds to a minute. Add the reserved pasta water and then add the parmesan cheese. Melt into a sauce. Add the pasta into the sauce and toss to coat the pasta with the cheese sauce. Top with more parmesan and black pepper and enjoy!
